Super Smash Bros. 3DS will be released one week from today

I finished paying off my preorder last night so I am set. For those who don’t know, the Demo was released last week. Thanks to the demo, we now know the full roster for 3DS version:

…The one partially obscured next to Jigglypuff is Greninja, who was revealed earlier this year. The guy next to Ike is Robin from Fire Emblem Awakening while the guy below Ness is Shulk from Xenoblade Chronicles. The girl between Yoshi, Toon Link and Warior is Rosalia, who appears in Super Mario Galaxy. The dog below Meta Knight is actually the Dog and Duck from the NES classic Duck Hunt (there’s buzz there will be an updated version of Duck Hunt coming to the Wii U as a result).  The group next to Sonic are Mii Fighters (revealed earlier this year) while the guy below Pikachu is the Animal Crossing Villager. The faceless woman next to Dr. Mario is the Wii Fit Trainer while the two people between Dr. Mario and Shulk are Dark Pit from Kid Icarus Uprising and Lucina from Fire Emblem Awakening.

The above list is 100% accurate. Unlike alot of wishful thinkers, I would only give you the truth when it comes to the Super Smash Bros. roster.

Notice who is and isn’t there.

Yes, The Ice Climbers didn’t make the cut. They didn’t make it into the Wii U version either though fans are holding out hope they will be added as DLC characters later on. This generation of Super Smash Bros. also stomps the crap out of the previously held belief that there would be no more than two 3rd Party Characters. Sonic returns and is joined by Pac Man (Namco), Megaman (Capcom) and Shulk from Xenoblade Chronicles (CRIware). Oh and yes Charizard, Zelda, Sheik, Samus and Zero-Suit Samus are all stand-alone characters now. Charizard and Lucario also have new Final Smashes based on their Mega Evolutions.

As I mentioned above, the Demo was released last week on the eShop. Mario, Link, Villager, Megaman and Pikachu are available as playable characters in the Demo. The only mode you can play is 3-minute Smash. Like Bravely Default, some data from the Demo can be transferred to the full game. Specifically the Smash Coins. Some things in the full game require alot of Smash Coins to unlock so consider this some extra motivation to get and play the demo!

I have the Demo on both of my 3DS consoles but will mainly play it on my Blue 3DS. I also have Pokemon OmegaRuby and AlphaSapphire preordered and am planning to get Persona Q so…yeah.

My only complaint to Nintendo is why they haven’yt increased the amount of Streetpass-enabled games you can have at a time. The limit is 12 and is why I bought my 2nd 3DS. After SSB, both Pokemon Games and Persona Q I will be maxed on both consoles so…yeah. A good number would be 30 or 50.

Fix it, Nintendo!

Finally, I have one other thing to say before I let you go: No matter how much folks beg, Ridley from the Metroid Games will NEVER be a playable character. He’s just too big. Charizard is nowhere near as big. It’s only 5’7″ and weighs 199 pounds. In comparison, I’m taller and bulkier than Charizard so…yeah XD
